LIFE & POLE offers pole fitness classes for everybody wanting to learn something new, tone some muscles, increases flexibility, and just make you feel good! As well as exercising by learning a variety of pole tricks, it’s a fun, sociable activity where people come together to support each other, bounce new ideas around and learn together. The Instructor: Ashleigh Wilson
I am a certified Pole Instructor with over 10 years worth of pole fitness experience.
I attended my first pole lesson at the age of 19 and I was hooked, within months I was trained as an Instructor by the company I had lessons with. With a gymnastics and gymnastics coaching background it was exactly what I was looking for.
Now at the age of 34 I can say that barely a week has gone by where I haven’t been doing pole fitness and if I haven’t been able to get to a pole, I have been dreaming about it and planning my next trick to learn!
I have taught consistently for a company based in Southampton for 8 years, training myself along the way to keep up with the ever amounting pole tricks and train for competitions. I have loved every minute!
Teaching my lovely pole students in the evenings after work has always kept me going and has really helped get me through the week, so instead of it being a hobby around a full time job I decided it was time to make it a bigger part of my life.
So here it is, LIFE & POLE.
A Note To Mums
To all you Mummy’s out there…… As a Mum (since November 2019) keeping fit in a way that is both fun and sociable has become even more important, happy Mum, happy baby right!
I carried on going to classes and teaching until the day before I went into labour and while my tricks became very slow and simple towards the end, seeing those smiling faces each week and doing some sort of activity definitely helped me keep my sanity!
Having pole fitness to go back to after having baby has really helped as its never felt like going to a fitness class, its just an activity that I love to do which happens to help tone my body which is a bonus!
